forgiveness

In honor of the Dalai Lama'a visit to our fair county, the wonderful protesters of the Chinese crackdown on Tibet following the torch; a film about forgiveness that really gets at the heart of a major issue of contemporary American society. The Power of Forgiveness is surprisingly engaging and moving. I'm thinking about organizing a screening for all of my sorely abused family and friends when I finally finish grad school... too heavy handed?

an addendum to the original post:
driving to work today, a guy was inching into an itersection where he had a stop and I didn't. I - naturally slowed down and kept an eye on him. He began gesturing rudely, honking and waving for me to go. I stepped on the gas, but clearly not quickly enough for him, because he also rocketed into the intersection and then slammed on his brakes when he saw that I was moving. (I guess it's important to note here, that this is a TINY downtown plymouth, 25mph intersction) the dude screamed "stupit c****!!!!" and smashed his hands into the steering wheel with the most anger I have ever seen on anyone's face in real life. And we didn't even come CLOSE to crashing!

Perhaps we should invite him to the screening?
